How to Prepare Basmati Jollof Rice Recipe

Below are the ingredients you will be needing to pepare basmati jollof rice

  1. Basmati rice
  2. Fresh tomatoes
  3. Fresh tatase (red bell pepper)
  4. Rodo
  5. Onions
  6. Garlic
  7. Ginger
  8. Curry
  9. Thyme
  10. Butter
  11. Bayleave
  12. Tin tomatoes
  13. Vegetable oil
  14. Beef stock
  15. Seasoning cube
  16. Salt
  17. Spring onions

Method on How to Prepare Basmati Jollof

  1. Blend your tomatoes/tatase/rodo/onion/ginger/garlic all together
  2. And boil it till it’s thick and set aside
  3. Dice some onions and set aside
  4. Open your tin tomatoes and set aside
  5. Put pot on fire and add vegetable oil
  6. Add your diced onions and allow it to fry a bit
  7. Add your tin tomatoes and fry it very well
  8. Add the boiled pepper and allow it to fry very very well
  9. At this point you keep on mixing it so it doesn’t get burnt
  10. Once it’s well fried Add your beef stock and some water
  11. Add curry and Thyme
  12. Add seasoning cube and salt to taste
  13. Add your bey leave and cover it to boil
  14. Then wash your rice and pour into the boiling sauce
  15. Cover it to cook
  16. Cut some onions round round, and some fresh tomatoes
  17. cut your spring onions
  18. Once the rice is almost ready, add your butter and the onion and tomatoes
  19. Cover it back for it to steam
  20. Yes your jollof will get burnt you will be turning it from time to time
  21. Then add your spring onions and stir it very well
  22. Your jollof rice is good to go.
