The Grade A Surveillance Operator will report to the Regional Director/ G M. The primary responsibility of a Surveillance Operator is to ensure an efficient operation of the Control room.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enforce the Company’s ‘Code of Conduct’
Manage the CCTV Operations, ensuring high level surveillance in Control Room
Live vehicle monitoring and dash board cameras
Ensure that the CCTV and Surveillance hardware and software fully operational
Carry out duties and tasks as per the Site Job Description
Ensure that the primary function of the Surveillance Operations is always upheld
Must be able to multi-task from CCTV Monitoring Operations to assistance in answering telephone calls in the Control Room
Responsible for CCTV Investigations
Respond to emergency situations in compliance with job descriptions, SOP and the Site plan
Ensure that all incident investigations are dealt with swiftly and appropriately
Ensure that all incident investigations are promptly updated onto CHASE at all time
Ensure that the control room has radio communication to security manpower on the ground
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
PSIRA Grade A Registered
Matric Certified
Solid Computer Proficiency
Firearm Competency will be an advantage (Handgun and Shotgun)
3 to 5 years of experience in the Security Industry
3 to 5 years of Control Room/CCTV / Surveillance Experience
ICASA/Craig Donald certificate will be advantageous
Electronic Equipment experience will be advantageous
First Aid, Fire Fighting, Health and Safety REP training will be advantageous
Knowledge of the Security Industry regulations including Operational and Client requirements
Proficiency in English (Reading and Writing)
Must be willing to work shifts
