Turkey is one of my favorite protein, So every now and then I always have turkey stew In my freezer. I love taking it with white rice And also with swallows With a little bit of any draw soup inside of the stew, I really love breaking the bones especially the next day when the turkey has soaked inside the stew the bones are so wonderful. I’m always begging my husband please honey give me born give me the Turkey bones let me break it please lol. This stew is well known in Nigeria And it’s so delicious I’m sure you’re gonna love it. OK most times some people stew taste Slappy Because they do not mix there pepper very well If you want a good stew you have to know how to mix your tomatoes your tatase your pepper and your onions very well.
Turkey stew recipe
Below are the ingredients you will be needing
- 2kg of turkey
- 1kg of tomatoes
- 200g of rodo (pepper)
- 400g of tatase
- 800g of onions
- 8 pcs of garlic
- 1 medium size of ginger
- 3 scoop spoons of vegetable oil
- 2 table spoons of curry and Thyme
- Seasoning cube
- Salt
- Enough vegetable oil for frying
Method on How to Prepare turkey stew
- Was your turkey and pour into a clean pot
- Add 1 medium size diced onions
- Add your curry and Thyme
- Add seasoning cube to taste
- Add salt to taste, pour some water
- Mix them together very well and cook till tender and set aside
- Get a clean pan on fire pour your vegetable oil
- Once it’s hot add your turkey and fry them till golden brown and set aside
- Was your tomatoes, tatase, rodo, onions, ginger, garlic and blend them smooth and set aside
- Dice 1 medium size of onions and set aside
- All this onions are not part of the 800g you are supposed to blend with your tomatoes.
- Put a clean pot on fire
- Add your vegetable oil, you can use the one you used to fry the turkey
- Once the oil is hot, add the diced onions
- Let it fry a bit
- Pour all the mixed blended pepper
- And cover for it to boil
- Add the turkey stock
- Let your stew fry very well
- Don’t add your turkey until the stew is well fried because you don’t want your turkey to be too soft
- Add seasoning cube to taste
- Salt to taste
- Once it’s well fried, add your turkey and lower the heat for some minutes
- Then turn off the heat
And your stew is ready!
